General Area
Here is a picture of the general area as well as how to get there from Clemson. We can try to figure where we might want to put trails with further investigation. More pictures soon to come.
This is a great starting point for our group. Obviously we will be using SC 133, but I would like us to check out routes through the forest around Old six mile Hwy. and Issaqueena trail Rd. My only other concern is the level of fitness and skill it would take to ride some of the trails.
That is a good point about the difficultly of skill level. I did not think about that before. I guess we may have to consider the idea of "smoothing out" some of the trails. I feel that it could go either way though. Of course this idea would increase the cost of building the overall trails, but it may not be a bad thing. If the trails were more accessible to skill level of the average person more people might tend to use the trails. In turn, they might be more willing to help fund the project. We should see what the people opinions are for when we conduct a survey.
